The JOY of Empowerment

Empower Yourself

I’d like to share something that  truly transformed my life and business and can do the same for you: The joy of empowerment.

As a heart-centered Soulopreneur, I believe that empowering yourself is the key to unlocking your full potential.

True success and fulfillment stem from empowering yourself, living your truth, and, above all, finding your JOY!

So, let’s embark on this joyful journey together and uncover the magic it holds.

Why is it Important to Empower Yourself?

I discovered self-empowerment in my forties. I’ll admit, I always had a certain level of confidence (thanks Mom and Dad) but I didn’t actually realize how much control I had over my life until four decades in… until, then – I sort of lived by default and other people’s expectations.

I tell you this because you may find yourself wondering, “Joeaux, why all the talk about self-empowerment on a business oriented blog?”

Well, when you empower yourself, you take control of your life and become the captain of your destiny. You become a Soulopreneur. I dive deeper into this topic in my Spiritual Happy Hour: Row, Row, Row Your Boat

Instead of being a passive spectator, you become an active participant, shaping your experiences and outcomes. Empowerment ignites a fire within you, fueling your motivation, confidence, and resilience.

It changed my life for the better, and I know it can do the same for you. That’s why I’m so passionate about this topic.

When you empower yourself, you WILL find your JOY. When I was in my fifties, I wanted joy in my life so much that I actually named myself Joeaux (pronounced JOY). The spelling, I would realize a year after I legally changed my name from Stephanie Robey to Joeaux Robey, was because of the numerology necessary for my name to have the appropriate vibration. That’s another story we can dive into someday.

Joy is the compass that guides us toward a life of purpose and happiness. When you connect with your joy, you unlock a wellspring of inspiration and creativity. Your joy attracts positive energy and enhances your overall well-being and begins to create a life beyond your wildest dreams.

How Do I Become More Empowered?

Self-empowerment begins with self-awareness, Soulopreneur.

Take the time to delve deeper into understanding yourself. Reflect on your values, strengths, and aspirations. This self-awareness lays the groundwork for your empowerment, enabling you to make conscious choices that align with your true self.

You can also empower yourself by setting BIG goals

BHAGS or Big Hairy Audacious Goals is a term I learned while getting my Master’s Degree in Business. BHAG (pronounced “bee hag”) was coined in the book Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies by Jim Collins and Jerry Porras. It refers to a clear and compelling target that you want to reach.. You’ll hear me often refer to Bee Hags as I believe they are the cornerstone to creating more of what you desire in your life.

Begin by defining what joy means to you and establish clear, meaningful objectives that resonate with your vision. Break these goals down into smaller, achievable steps, allowing yourself to celebrate the progress you make along the way. By doing so, you create a sense of direction and purpose, propelling yourself forward on the path towards empowerment.

It’s not only amazing how well this works, it’s easier than you probably think and a great habit to get into. More on that in a minute.

The journey of empowerment begins from within.

To further enhance your empowerment, embrace a growth mindset. Commit to a belief in your capacity to learn and grow. Embrace challenges as opportunities for personal development, viewing failures as valuable lessons, or as Adironnda likes to say, “great feedback!” It’s important to maintain a positive outlook even during difficult times, recognizing that setbacks can serve as stepping stones toward your growth and ultimate empowerment.

Surrounding yourself with positivity is essential when you seek to empower yourself. Engage in activities that nourish your mind, body, and soul, such as reading empowering books, practicing gratitude, or pursuing hobbies that bring you joy. Look to connect with supportive and uplifting individuals, who raise your vibration and inspire you to become the best version of yourself. By creating a positive and nurturing environment, you provide yourself with the necessary support to continue to empower yourself.

Purchase one of those EASY buttons from Staples and put it on your desk. Remind yourself during the day that life is EASY and hit the easy button to celebrate small accomplishments. I did this years ago and it still makes me smile, and I still hit the button daily. Hey! Whatever it takes to keep yourself in a frame of mind that exudes positivity, do it.

How do You Empower and Inspire?

Empowerment is not only about personal growth but also about uplifting and inspiring others.

empower yourself

My greatest happiness comes when I look back and can clearly see that I helped another person achieve one of their dreams.

I create a collage in my mind of the look on people’s faces when they REALIZED their dream was achievable. I also keep a list of people who proclaimed what they wanted to do during one of our workshops and are now doing it. For me, there is no greater inspiration than taking action toward a BHAG.

Here are some ways you can empower yourself and inspire those around you:

  1. Lead by example: Be an authentic role model by living your truth, embracing your imperfections, and demonstrating resilience in the face of challenges. Your authenticity and vulnerability will inspire others to do the same. I realized this was true when my kids began to call me because they thought I was the “ticket” to manifesting. Truth be told, I was just their inspiration, believing wholeheartedly with them.
  2. Encourage and support others: Recognize and celebrate the strengths and achievements of those around you. Offer a helping hand, provide guidance, and be a source of encouragement when others are facing obstacles. Let people know that you are there for them. Add your dream to the comments of this blog and take the first step to seeking support.
  3. Share your knowledge and experiences: Write blogs, create content, or engage in meaningful conversations where you share your wisdom, insights, and lessons learned. Your words and experiences have the power to inspire and empower others. One of my favorite things to do each month is to create Spiritual Happy Hours on YouTube. I, too, learn so much in the process.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive environment: Create a space where everyone feels valued and heard. Encourage collaboration, diversity of thought, and open communication. Use Heart Resonance to begin difficult conversations so everyone can start from the same place of compassion and love. By uplifting others, you create a ripple effect of empowerment. (This is why I STILL have the EASY button on my desk.)

Above all else, remember that YOU have the innate power to shape your life and business.

When you empower yourself, you unlock limitless possibilities and create a positive impact not only on yourself but also on those around you. I believe so much in this that I have dedicated my life to working with people who believe the same. I know this is how we create a beautiful and loving world and I hope I can encourage you to do the same.

So, go forth with confidence, authenticity, and a heart full of inspiration. Empower yourself, empower others, and together, let’s make this world a brighter, more empowered place.

With love and belief in your extraordinary potential,

XO Joeaux
